Terms
Last updated 28 October 2026
In short
- Lea's email app is free. Lea's assistant is a subscription you can cancel at any time in the app.
- Lea works on your mail only as you ask, and sends nothing without your approval. Check what she says and drafts: AI can be wrong.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and the consumer laws where you live, always apply.
Who we are
Lea is made by Nexbit Pty Ltd, 11 Manuka Terrace, 18 Flinders Way, Manuka, ACT 2603, Australia ("we"). These terms are between you and us. For anything in them, write to support@getlea.net.
Using Lea
- You may install Lea's app and its command line on the computers you use, and use them for yourself or your work.
- Parts of Lea are open source and come under their own licences, listed in the app (About Lea, Licences). Those licences apply to those parts.
- You're responsible for the mail accounts you add to Lea and for what you send from them. Use Lea within the rules of your mail providers and the law.
- Don't use Lea to send spam or to harm anyone, and don't try to get around its limits, break into Lea's server or copy Lea's service.
Lea's assistant
- Price. US$5 a month or US$50 a year, paid in advance through Stripe. Taxes may be added where the law requires.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time in the app (Settings, Assistant, Manage subscription). Lea's assistant keeps working until the end of the time you've paid for, and we don't charge you again.
- Refunds. We don't refund part of a month or year after you cancel, unless the law requires it. If something goes wrong, write to us; we'll look at every request.
- Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies, from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
- Fair use. The subscription is for one person's own mail. Lea's server has daily limits that ordinary use doesn't reach; use far above them may be slowed or paused for the day.
What Lea does, and what you check
- Lea's assistant answers from your mail and acts on it when you ask. Everything she tidies can be undone in the app. She never sends an email until you approve it.
- Her answers, summaries, sorting and drafts come from an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important before you rely on it, and read a draft before you send it.
- How your mail is handled is in the privacy policy.
Changes and availability
- We keep improving Lea, so features may change. If we stop offering Lea's assistant, we'll refund the part of your subscription you haven't used.
- We work to keep Lea's server running, but it may sometimes be unavailable. Lea's email app keeps working without it.
Ending
- You can stop using Lea at any time. To delete your Lea account and what we keep with it, write to us.
- If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend or close your Lea account. Unless the law or the harm involved prevents it, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Our responsibility
- Lea comes with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and other consumer laws where you live. Nothing in these terms limits them.
- As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of our failure, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update them here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by email before a change that affects you takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. This doesn't take away the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
